Interesting read located on my Sunday morning ramble.

Some of the entries reminded me that in the early '60's, my parents bought a large house in Denver. A month or so later, I found a box of ancient Socialist pamphlets and flyers in one of the attic crawl spaces (I believe Eugene Debs was prominently featured in most of the material) and my parents actually toyed with the idea of calling the FBI. In their defense, most Americans were genuinely frightened of Socialists and Communists back then, and they subsequently calmed down and gave the stuff to a retired librarian who expressed an interest in it. :p
