Not necessarily, though that is a good argument. I am thinking more that it like the idea of the person who is getting hot and bothered when they see something that others would normally go Meh! or Eeww! at at. Did the artist have the intent to cause arousal, or did they have the intent of producing something else, and the inevivatible 'bone-head-in-the-pile" gets a nut off anyway. In short, is the intended and normal target audience to be 'disgusted', 'horrifierd' or 'shocked' while the fringe, despite best efforts of said author are enjoying it.

There is the realm of "Magic Girls" which is not supposed to be Human girls, but alien and magical creature, complete with elven ears, and tails or similar. If nothing else, the entire genre of "Graphical Sex" is pretty much beyond the pale of the normal, in that there seems to be no room for just sex, it always includes pain, suffering and often a bit of torture and lots of fluids everywhere to the point that everyone in the Japanese comic (the characters themselves) gets abused during sex and the whole act is unrealistic in nature.

Molly say:
So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.
