Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Cindy Lou Who, Witch Hazel and Natasha Fatale: all these characters were voiced by one remarkable artist, June Foray. Now, in celebration of her 96th birthday, Foray will make a rare appearance at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood for a screening of the classic 1970 live-action and animated film, The Phantom Tollbooth.

The event will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21. Foray will discuss her work after the film and then enjoy a slice of birthday cake in the lobby of the Hollywood Egyptian Theater at the conclusion of this very special event.

Inspired by the classic children's adventure novel written by Norton Juster and illustrated by Jules Feiffer, Chuck Jones’s cinematic adaptation follows Milo (Butch Patrick), a bored city kid who receives a gift of a miniature tollbooth. Passing through it, he's immediately transported into a psychedelic animated universe. Alongside Mel Blanc and Daws Butler, Foray voices several of the film's animated characters, just one star turn in a career that included classics like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Cinderella and Mulan.

Molly say:
So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.
