Sadly there is very few book stores around here any more; This was actually a Buns and Nibbles, or in the real world talk Barnes and Nobles. It was originally one of the best 'stores' back when there was a plethora of book stores. The best times were shopping in an old used book store, followed by a sit and read in either a Coffee shop or Noodle house, or small diner with linoleum floors and pots of coffee.

God the list of defunct book stores is depressing, especially when it means we have the religious wrong taking up more room than they need. At least in the old days, you could find a 'Christian' book store, meaning all the books were devoted to Christianity, thus no need to step foot inside.... Unless you need the latest copy of Dungeons and Dragons handbooks, usually under the 'satanic, avoid at all cost' sign.... So you buy them up just to piss off the shop keeper.

We used to have about 3 per city, with some off the wall literally used and new shops. Barnes and Noble, B. Dalton, Tower Books and Stacey's were the majors everywhere, then there was Moe's Books in Berkeley, City Lights in S.F., The Pruneyard in San Jose, Clean-well, lighted in Cuppertino, Bay Books in Concord, Bonanza books in Walnut Creek, and our own in V.V. which was run by two ladies, one of who worked at the library..... She had an Italian Ice and Soda counter in the back.

Molly say:
So keep fightin' for freedom and justice, beloveds, but don't you forget to have fun doin' it. Lord, let your laughter ring forth. Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.
