Frankly, I'd rather it didn't have air conditioning. I won't use it much. And it just adds to the price, to the complexity of the machine, reduces fuel economy whether it's being used or not, etc.

That is the one thing that I do love about the car and I have, and in fact the current roommate, she has a Saturn VUE. We both 32-34 MPG with A/C running.

In calif, here in the Sacto Valley, you really need A/C. 115 degs and 15% humidity, not the clingy stuff like N.Y. and the east coast (lived in New London, Ct for year) but when the valley is 100 Plus, riding in car with no A/C is more miserable than living in a bread oven.

WHen I bought my car, the only additions I wanted were Radio and A/C.
