I would buy a used Saturn myself, as I did last time. Low milage 50K, with Air package that delivers 86plus more HP, 34MPG on the Freeway at 75, two door, with trick half doors, Air, Radio, and the only power option is the lock on the door. No Key fobs needed, and no 'power this and power that' that eats up power from the engine.

I put 20K on this, and expect to keep it, like the last one, at least 200,000 plus miles. I will own outrigt in about 2 years, which will be about 100K. I have done the checkups at the dealership, which are now KIA. Not so happy with some of KIA's policies, but the Saturn is worth it. Quad seat, Sports Coupe, Air package, low miles, for $10K. Not bad as you say, Hondas start about $20K. Non-electric.

``Really, Mr Collins,'' cried Elisabeth with some warmth, ``you puzzle me exceedingly. If what I have hitherto said can appear to you in the form of encouragement, I know not how to express my refusal in such a way as may convince you of its being one.'' - Pride and Prejudice
