You know, the question might not be "is is legal" but "can you get away with it?" I mean obviously telling lies and presenting false data, to make people make stupid decisions based on someone else 'ideals' is not illegal, or every C.E.O., President and Congressmember would be in jail, at least here.

But the big question is, even if it is legal, will people allow it to happen. Look at the what happened to the "Flag burners" dilemea. They wanted to ban flag burning, which prompted some of the old dittoheads to piss and moan "You can't call a man a Ni--er, but you can burn the flag." To them, a piece of cloth meant more than some mans rights.... for a while there was even one joke going around about how to prove the we had to go to war....

They told you to hit the person carrying anyone sign saying war was not an answer for Iraq, and if they get up, hit them again. And you did it until they hit you back (thus proving in thier eyes fighting is the only answer) or you ran away. Of course totally forgetting the whole ugly little "litigation" thing if you choose not to strike back and press charges, or you get somewho is a martials arts expert who slams you on the ground and then points out the flawed analogy because we were the aggressors, not the the other way round.
