Oh yay, I almost forgot, they are going to be sacrificed to the fire god, at high noon, on the longest day of the year. Now if you read the synopsis, the man is found 9 months later, and the seaview comes back with him.

How does he know that this is scrafice they make at high noon, on the longest day of the year, which incidently is what from March to Nov? so that would make noon what middle of Jun? This is the antarctic rememeber. And why would the make two such sacrfices a year, because he was only there for nine months. Maybe he meant the sacrifice one person every month for nine months, but still that would beg the question 'how does he know' because "high noon on the longest day" is a yearly event, not a nine and three month event.

Is it any wonder that we elected some of the idiots we have after realiseing this was what passed for "intellectual TV" in those days.

And I forgot the most important part, Did you know that you place objects into the atomic clock to see how old they are? And it is so accurate and yet so veratile that it can tell 150 million year old skin, from one year old skin. Amazing, and all you have to is put the stuff in, push a button, crank a handle and peer into a huge lens. Amazing that technology.
