Then you have a much more dangerous, multifacetted weapon that can change the offense and more importantly, keep defenses scared and confused all day long."
This is gonna sound shallow and politically incorrect (very much so), but I'm just not sold on black quarterbacks in the NFL. They do not (in general) possess the same intuition as white quarterbacks when it comes to understanding the complexities of the NFL game.

To give you an example, Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Dante Culpepper (in my opinion, the three best black QBs in the NFL) are more physically talented than Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Carson Palmer (in my opinion, the three best white QBs in the NFL). However, any coach in the league would rather have Manning and Brady (and probably Palmer) because of their intelligence and intangibles, which are more important in the NFL than in college.

Similarly, I believe Leinart's intelligence (as well as his experience and success in an offensive system more comparable to those in the NFL) is more valuable than Young's superior athletic ability.
