If I were the GM of the Texans, I'd try to trade the first selection for multiple picks in the later rounds. However, if the Texans stay where they are, I'd be very, very surprised if they don't take Bush.

Despite Young's phenomenal performance in the Rose Bowl, I'd take Leinart ahead of him in the draft if it were my choice. I think Leinart is more seasoned, a better passer, and more likely to be a productive pro quarterback.

Yeah, but Leinart played exceptionally well all season despite the scrutiny of being a returning Heisman Trophy winner on the two-time defending national champion and performing in the second largest media market in the country.

You also have to consider that Leinart was playing against a considerably better defense in the Rose Bowl. Hell, USC's defense gave up 42 points to Fresno State.

Well, I think the speed and complexity of the pro game presents a much tougher challenge (mentally) for QB's than RB's. That's why quarterbacks better known for their athleticism than their throwing arm rarely win big in the NFL.
