Well, you mentioned the big meanie right from the start, it is extremely combustible. If it lights on fire from the light of a movie projector imagine what it would do as a plastic bag substitute in grand mama's Buick at 130F in left in her car during the summer, or in baby Sara's Barbie doll clear window left under the Christmas tree with a bulb hanging just that much too close, or even in a land fill, where temperatures can reach almost 200F on certain items such as enclosed refrigerators and the like. A celluloid microwave? Bad, bad idea.
Besides which, pesticides and gasoline are specialized usages, intended for only one purpose, and unlikely to be used to create the frame of say a computer microchip which can reach even higher temperatures.
It simply is not a practical substitute for the more common plastic items in current use.
