Red did very well in his last class. We took Conversational Spanish together over the summer. I am kind of sad that Red's not taking another class in the fall semester, but he has other things to concentrate on right now.

Murr, I'm not actually taking the algebra classes for fun, but I (oddly enough) do seem to be having fun taking them. They are required for my initial goal of an associates degree. I've always been terrible at math (a la Mac), never found it to be easy, but I'm studying very, very hard, and I've pulled A's in all four classes that I've taken since I started back to school in the summer semester of '06. ::proudly:: image

Going back to school after 22 years of not is pretty cool. Better late than never. I'm enjoying it, despite the fact that I'm usually the oldest person in the class. So far, I can only manage one course per semester.

Red's making fun of me. I picked up my books for the start of the semester next week, and I started working on the review chapters already. I actually remember some of the stuff from my previous algebra class. Red thinks I'm nuts. I do Not, however, think of it as math porn. I don't enjoy it That much.

After this course is done (Algebra 151), I get to start the fun stuff. Programming-related classes. I'm looking forward to learning how to make a computer do something I want it to do, and understanding how it all works.

And Murr, that's great that your daughter is a PhD student. Congratulations to her. ::thinking "someday, maybe when I'm ninety"::

Wish me luck in class next week! I'm nervous.
