I actually agree with that. Science needs the "religious" zeal that many religious people express for their "faith". I must state that when I speak of "religion" I take it to mean "belief in some kind of deity or 'higher force'" and am not speaking of any specific religious doctrine or beleif. That is the way I interpreted the original post. Please, Druid, correct me if I was wrong in that interpretation.

I would add, however, that whilst science and religion are very similar in the early stages, they tend to differ when it comes to adolescence. Science tends to seek proof, whereas religion tends to continue to rely upon faith (unsubstantiated belief).
