One of the problems with this kind of post is general credibility. From the get-go, a reasonably intelligent person will suspect a con meant to skim cumulative nickle-and-dime returns from a few good-hearted people with five or ten bucks to spare. The second most common reaction is stunned disbelief that a person could reach the age of majority and not have the vaguest clue how to uncover survival resources, which in turn leads to the first conclusion. It may not be entirely fair, but that's pretty much the way it goes.

For some years, my tentative solution has been to point people in the appropriate directions and try not to worry about them too much. I'm not sure how well that works, but if I plan to live much past age 65, it's the only choice I have. :lol
