I've gone back to the very first post here...

You will see it here...and almost anywhere else you find Atheists. They quickly grasp opportunities to pound their ungodly drums...singing "Hail to the Chief!" while firing volleys
of jargon designed to spank the religious mind.
Let's be fair Steve, there are fundamentalists in all categories.

It doesn't matter if you struggle with existance and its beginning and refusing to accept that something so complex as life...can come from nothing.
Why do you assume that non-theists struggle with existence? I know that IMHO, I believe we evolved from sea creatures. Hey, I'm a Pisces! :)
All kidding aside, maybe there is/was a creator, I still don't believe it to be any of the written about deities.

It does not matter that you see mankind in his full ability to overshadow the entire animal kingdom, dominate the earth with mental appititudes that make even the most complex ape appear mentally dwarfed. It does not matter that only man can show genuine love on this earth...as well as hate, and to a degree that surpasses any other earthly creature. It does not matter that only man uses reward and punishment...for good and bad. It does not matter, that mankind marks time...from the era that Jesus Christ walked this earth. Nope. Forget it. It is merely coinsidence...that man is here at all, let alone being well defined in his unique abilities, such as language that closely emulate the Creator as described in the Bible...having been created in his image.
Steve, we are ALL animals, humans are just higher up on the scale. As to Jesus walking the earth, there are those that believe he did, those that believe there was a man (even a few men who could have fit the bill)such as Jesus, and those that do not believe in Jesus ever existed, that's he just a take-off character stolen from prior mythologies. Christians have pretty much placed Jesus above God - yet God has no intentions of breaking his covenant with the Jews...it's pretty plain that God had no intention of ever breaking his covenant with the Jews.

Leviticus 26:44-45 "Yet, even then, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them or spurn them so as to destroy them, annulling My covenant with them: for I the L-RD am their G-d. I will remember in their favor the covenant with the ancients, whom I freed from the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their G-d: I, the L-RD."

Deuteronomy 4:31 "For the L-RD your G-d is a merciful G-d; He will not forsake you, nor destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them."

Deuteronomy 29:28 "The secret things belong to the L-RD our G-d; but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Torah."
AND..."Protestantism was the triumph of Paul over Peter; Fundamentalism is the triumph of Paul over Christ."
Will Durant
Now Steve, how shall you respond to the facts about the above?
