Perhaps it was a one sided question, and John asked it to amuse those that are of a like-minded skepticisms?
Notwithstanging the fact that I am at a loss to know what a "one sided question" is, I did not post the question to amuse, more to start a debate on whether "faith", when it becomes an ovewhelming part of a person's thoughts and actions could be classified as a psychological disorder.

Although the topic title was "Is Faith a psychological disorder?", I did - in the text of the opening post - suggest other related questions for debate:

Quote:
When faith comes to the point of controlling people's lives, could it then be classed as a phsychological illness? Are those who organise such cults simply in it for the money, or are they guenuinely ill? What about the everyday members of such cults, who derive no financial gain from them - are they victims of a contagious phsychological illness?

So, the opening post was exactly that - an opener - if anyone wants to add other opinions, "truths", conjectures, that's okay.
