If one starts with opinion and tries to find things to list that justify it afterward, they don't reveal what convinced them in the first place.

The whole subject is a red herring, unless you are suggesting that the USA might not have landed a man on the moon and the whole lot is a scam.
It seems pretty clear to me it is a red herring. I answered the question, and so far there's been no conversation. Mind you I don't see how there's much room for conversation. I stated what convinces me, and since there is a requirement that one not provide opinion, there really isn't much else I can say, and there is not really anything we can discuss.
dg.. "So those are the things that convince you the US landed men on the Moon"
dg.. "so tell why do those convince you"
Me.. "sorry that would require an opinion".

"Lighten up, Darrell. There's nothing wrong with the topics you initiate. "Then why suggest otherwise?
What's wrong with clarifying what the question means?
"you seem to be a little preoccupied with one-upsmanship, ..."If true (and I disagree), it would seem par for the course here. At least I don't tell you to go f*** yourself like some members.
"and just now, you've expressed what appears to be contempt for topics that don't rise to your standards."Ah! No. I've listed recent topics to compare with those of mine which you have implied don't meet your standards. If it appears as contempt to you, perhaps what you are really feeling is embarrassment.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

How many members to your family? ans: "What do you define as family?"
Do you vote in elections? ans: "Who determines what is voting?"
Are you currently employed? ans: "What a daft question!"
Are you a member of this website? ans: "FUCK OFF!"

"Where you are wrong, is when you specifically say that you do not want opinions and then expect everyone to give one. " _ JohnSa
I have to agree with him DG; I think if I might offer a suggestion; Listen to what a lot of us say, we are all very, very diverse people. I am deiist in outlook, tending to Buddhism, but no one major religion suits me, so I am going to be my own. I can be my own God, and my own follower. Makes it real tidy.....don't need to look any further for converts, my religion says I am deity of one, me, and my followers the same. But in the end I pretty much figure anything I believe is "opinion"; so be it. When you said and 'what convinced you' that was fine. When you said 'no opinions', then we ran into the problem. My own experience was that I noticed something on the old media. They could have easily inserted it there. They had the technology for real. But one thing that the media used to do, was fudge the old records on sounds because people wouldn't buy it otherwise; E.G. The ST:TOS (kirk) and the Starship goes by 'Swish', nonsense. We know it as engineers. We still buy into. Watch the ship go with only the music, and it 'flops'.So media paid attention to flaws, and a perceived 'blank space' would be a perceived flaw to the Owners and Techies. They might have let it slide in the original, but they would then want to go back and 'tweak it' to make it perfect, and they didn't. Meant they weren't paying attention to it or recognized it could be used a authentication stamp, and so left it. I think I was listening to a 'modern' cleaned up verison, and the 'blank spot was missing'. I do know the topic came up again. But the end of this story is that It is almost strictly 'an opinion' since it would be all too easy to fake up the dropped 'a' in 'a man', and enough people are aware that that radio is not instantaneous that it would be added for authenticity now. Thus my 'evidence' is based on something I recall from years past, and we all know that memory sucks at times. So in reality, I have 'no evidence' per se, that is solid and irrefutable, but I can defend the position. Hence we have "Theory" based on "Prima Facie Data" which is not 'a conclusion or proof in itself''. We may not even to do this day, know all the details, but I would find it hard for it to be faked, for so long with out someone in real position actually saying something. Capricorn one was a good thiller. It sucked as a truth.
